APAGS Full Committee, Member (2017 - 2019)The APAGS Committee serves as an advisory committee composed of nine elected officers. Five appointed subcommittee chairs work closely with the APAGS Committee by participating in the business meetings and discussions of the committee. As an advisory group, the APAGS Committee offers comments on APA policies and procedures, and provides recommendations to APAGS Central Office regarding activities, initiatives and select areas of the budget.

APAGS Advocacy Coordinating Team, Regional Advocacy Coordinator (2016-2017)
The APAGS Advocacy Coordinating Team (ACT) is composed of psychology students who primarily engage in legislative advocacy work on behalf of the science and profession of psychology, in the interest of individuals studying, researching and practicing psychology, and on behalf of individuals who are recipients of psychological services. ACT members promote the welfare of graduate students and the vigor of the profession by their participation in legislative lobbying efforts.

Ethiopian Adoption Connection, Intern
Ethiopian Adoption Connection (EAC) is a free, grassroots effort to reconnect family members separated by adoption. The organization’s goal is to assist adoptees, birth family members, and adoptive parents in making contact after adoption and educate them in maintaining individual long term contact. To achieve these goals, EAC provides an online database, utilizes its networks in the adoption community, and reaches out to communities in Ethiopia. EAC provides psychosocial and emotional support through educational information and discussion groups for Ethiopian families who have lost children to adoption.

SCP Connect: News Team (2016 - present)
SCP Connect is the premier online portal for news, information, and stories related to counseling psychology and the Society of Counseling Psychology. SCP Connect publishes content under a number of different categories (e.g.,Op-Eds, SCP Reports, Conference Info) relevant to counseling psychologists, undergraduate and graduate students interested in health service psychology, allied mental health professionals, and the general public. This content is published in the form of individual posts, which are posted to a specific category and labeled with one or more “tags” (e.g., Practice, Early Career Professionals, Diversity), which allow website visitors to easily and quickly find content of interest to them.

Section for the Advancement of Women, Student Representative (2016 - present)
The Section for the Advancement of Women (SAW) welcomes academic, practitioner, consulting, and other counseling psychologists, both professionals and students, who are interested in working together toward advancing women in the field. As an organization, we are committed to addressing issues pertinent to women from the perspective of diverse theoretical frameworks, examining issues of power, multiple oppressions, and multiple privileges. We utilize a feminist process to allow for collective decision-making and empowerment of all members. SAW is actively striving toward becoming a home for all women in Counseling Psychology, values the perspectives of diverse groups, and is actively pursuing coalition-building with sister organizations and other activist Division 17 Sections, APA Divisions, and related groups.
