Sydney is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Monmouth College. She is a Counseling Psychologist with variety of teaching experiences at different levels and different institutions. She has taught courses in the area of general psychology, psychopathology, counseling theories, assessment, gender, and community engagement. Her research interests are in racial and ethnic socialization practices in transracial and multiracial families, social justice, and ally development. Her research has been published in Cultural Diversity and Ethnic Minority Psychology, Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity, and Asian American Journal of Psychology.
